Narratory gives each new account a one-time 500-word sample. It has no time limit and does not require a credit card. Import an EPUB or PDF, or add text in the editor, assign a voice, and generate a short passage to hear how it sounds.
What the free sample includes
You can generate up to 500 words and listen to the audio in the app. One credit pays for one newly generated word. A streamed preview or revision uses credits just like a chapter generation. Listening to audio you already generated is free. The sample does not reset or expire.
What happens with a full book?
A complete 80,000-word first pass needs at least 80,000 generated words. Starter includes 25,000 words each month; Pro includes 200,000. Active subscribers can buy word packs if they need more. Monthly words reset at renewal, while purchased words do not expire but require an active plan to use. Narratory stops generation at the balance, so there are no automatic overage charges.
An active paid plan is required to create an ACX or Apple Books export. If you later cancel, you can still open your books, listen to existing audio, and download exports that were already completed.
