By accessing or using Narratory, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

2. Description of Service

Narratory provides AI-powered text-to-speech services that allow users to convert written content into audiobook format. Our service includes manuscript upload, voice selection, audio generation, and file export capabilities.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of our service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
Providing accurate and complete information

4. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of your content. Any manuscripts, text, or audio files you create using Narratory are and remain your property.

By uploading content to our service, you grant us a limited license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you. This license terminates when you delete your content or account.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you upload and that your use of our service does not infringe on any third-party rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our service to:

Upload content you do not have rights to use
Create content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
Interfere with or disrupt the service
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Use the service for any unlawful purpose

6. Payment and Billing

New accounts receive a one-time 500-word sample with no expiry. One credit pays for one newly generated word, including previews and revisions. Listening to existing audio does not consume credits. Starter includes 25,000 words per month and Pro includes 200,000. Monthly words reset at renewal without rollover. Active subscribers may buy word packs, which do not expire but require an active paid plan to use. Generation stops when the available balance is exhausted; there are no automatic overage charges.

Your plan price and word-pack prices are shown before checkout. By subscribing, you authorize recurring monthly charges until you cancel. An active paid subscription is required to create new exports or use purchased word packs.

You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Afterward you can still open your books, listen to existing audio, and download previously completed exports. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law or under an applicable published offer.

First-book publication refund

Publish your Narratory audiobook and submit a live link and an honest testimonial with permission to feature it. We reimburse one generation of the verified published word count at the original paid rates. Previews, revisions and repeated attempts remain paid. One book per customer. 7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of our service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or terminate the service for maintenance, updates, or other reasons without prior notice.

8. Intellectual Property

The Narratory service, including its design, features, and technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of our service without our written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Narratory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
